Corporates

During the last 2 years the wellbeing agenda has steadily grown with the need for corporate organisations to have a wellbeing strategy getting more evident. The link between employee health and happiness and productivity has become very apparent with the coronavirus pandemic and the uncertain economic environment.

A corporate wellness program and wellbeing strategy is one of the main keys to cultivating a strong foundation for productivity, competitive advantage, being an employer of choice, and keeping hold of talent.

What we focus on grows

Healthy employees equal a healthy Company

Sophrology is focused on your employees, teams, leaders and organisational wellbeing and empowerment

Create a ‘Sophro mindful’ culture – enable an empowered, happy and healthy workforce which can help your organisation to grow sustainably and flexibly

Is your organisation experiencing:

  • High absenteeism
  • Poor performance
  • High turnover
  • Poor team morale
  • Low productivity
  • Lack of creativity
  • Increase in healthcare costs

These can be signs that your organisation is being affected by a lack of wellbeing focus.

The Stress Solution Sophrology can help empower your corporate organisation and your employees

Sophrology the Antidote for Workplace Stress

Sophrology is a life-balancing and mind-body technique for wellbeing and performance. Sophrology has been used in organisations in France, Spain, Belgium, and Switzerland for  several decades now helping to not only combat the effects of stress but to also empower teams and their leaders. It is easy to learn, requires very little time to start to see the benefits, it can be learnt and practised by just about everyone – and may be suitable for those employees who are off on long-term absence, particularly with long covid or mental health issues. Once the exercises and techniques are learnt Sophrology can be facilitated in-house, although the person trained would not be a qualified Sophrology Practitioner. To learn more about training one of your employees to become a qualified Sophrology Practioner, please visit The Sophrology Academy website.

How Sophrology can benefit your organisation

Introducing Sophrology into your organisation may help to support the long-term wellbeing of your staff, capabilities of your leaders and the continued sustainable performance of your business. Once learnt and practiced regularly, the Sophrology tools and techniques can help your staff to:

· Have a clear mind, focus and attention
· Increase energy levels and feelings of vitality
· Improve mood, positivity, optimism, and motivation
· Build resilience and confidence
· Create a sense of balance and the confidence to regain balance when situations arise

Sophrology can also benefit your organisation by helping employees and leaders prepare and build confidence for delivering presentations, making speeches, preparing for interviews, assessment centres and promotions. It can help develop ‘Connected Leadership’ – developing leaders capacities for empathy, communication, and creativity, to connect more deeply to their teams and employees in order to lead more effectively.

Please see the Organisation page for more about Connected Leadership.

Programmes can be bespoke to include wellbeing programmes for employees, team and leadership development and empowerment, to meet your organisational wellbeing and development needs.

As an associate of the Sophrology Academy I work in partnership with them in Sophrology training, and can refer your staff members for training to help identify and manage the signs of stress earlier, providing a set of tools to enable ongoing self-management and prevention, much like a Mental Health First Aider, The Sophrology Academy is the first Sophrology school in the UK, based in Kent, training Sophrologists, online and in person.

Work in Harmony - Sophrology in Leeds

"We recently had Carla come to speak at Epiphany’s Whole Team Meeting – we’ve had a very busy year and we thought a sophrology taster session would be perfect to help our team unwind and learn a few new strategies for relaxation in the busy workplace. Although we had a few sceptics at first, her session was incredibly well received. Carla presents so well and so calmly even in front of 150+ people, with both information and exercises for everyone to take part in. We’ve since had employees downloading apps and practicing “pumping” before key client meetings – even those who weren’t convinced at the start still enjoyed the collective experience. We’d absolutely recommend one of Carla’s courses for your next corporate event."

SOPHROLOGY IN THE NEWS

"While many people try and fail to reap the benefits of meditative practices, taking up Sophrology could be the key to unlocking your mind's potential."

THE INDEPENDENT
“You’ve heard of mindfulness, now meet its dynamic young cousin Sophrology. Mindfulness is the tried-and-tested tool of our times for anxiety, depression, chronic pain, addiction and more, but what if it’s not your thing? For those too twitchy to sit still and focus on breathing, Sophrology is the dynamic mindfulness alternative, popular on the continent. The French rugby team and media-magnate-turned-wellbeing-guru Arianna Huffington swear by this method”
THE GUARDIAN
"A form of moving meditation or “Dynamic Relaxation”. It’s so popular in France and Switzerland that it’s offered to children in schools and is even part of the training for the Geneva police force. Now it’s about to hit the UK."
THE METRO

“Sophrology - the calming wellbeing we all need now. A form of "Dynamic Meditation" Sophrology brings a sense of relief in the midst of the pandemic"
